Summer holidays 2023 :
1st, 2nd, 3rd grade: from May 31 (Wednesday) to September 14 (Thursday) 2023.
4, 5, 6 grades of regular school: from June 15 (Thursday) to September 14 (Thursday) 2023.
5th, 6th grade sports school: from June 30 (Friday) to September 14 (Thursday) 2023.
7, 8, 9, 10, 11 grades: from June 30 (Friday) to September 14 (Thursday) 2023.
Autumn holidays 2023 : from October 28 (Saturday) to November 1 (Wednesday) 2023.
Christmas holidays (New Year holidays): from December 23 (Saturday) 2023 to January 2 (Tuesday) 2024.
Midterm holidays (semester holidays) 2024: from February 3 (Saturday) to February 5 (Monday) 2024.
Spring holidays 2024 (1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th grade): from March 30 (Saturday) to April 7 (Sunday) 2024.
Spring break 2024 (12th grade): from April 5 (Friday) to April 7 (Sunday) 2024.
Summer holidays 2024 :
1st, 2nd, 3rd grade: from May 30 (Thursday) 2024 to September 13/16 (Friday/Monday) 2024.
4, 5, 6 grades of regular schools: from June 15 (Saturday) 2024 to September 13/16 (Friday/Monday) 2024.

Holidays when schoolchildren have no classes
September 22, 2023 (Friday): Bulgarian Independence Day (Unification Day).
November 1, 2023 (Wednesday): National Awakening Day.
March 4, 2024 (Monday): postponement of the Day of Liberation from the Ottoman Yoke (from Sunday March 3, 2024).
May 1, 2024 (Wednesday): Labor and International Workers’ Day.
May 6, 2024 (Monday): St. George’s Day, Day of Bravery and the Bulgarian Army.
May 24, 2024 (Friday): Day of Bulgarian Education, Culture and Slavic Literature.
School exams at the end of 22023-2024
May 17, 2024 (Friday): compulsory state matriculation examination in Bulgarian language and literature.
20 May 2024 (Monday): Second compulsory state matriculation examination and state examination for professional qualifications.
June 19, 2024 (Wednesday): external assessment exam in the Bulgarian language and literature national at the end of 7th grade.
21 June 2024 (Friday): Mathematics exam as part of the state external assessment at the end of Year 7.
