Canada is divided into 13 administrative divisions – 10 provinces and three territories. Each of them sets its own school year schedule. Although the 2024-2025 school holidays in Canada are officially approved, their dates may vary.
The country is very large, and school boards and educational institutions adapt to local conditions. School districts and even individual schools can stagger their school holiday schedule to make learning more convenient for students and teachers. In some cases, Canadian school holiday dates may vary by several weeks within the same province or territory.
