Below are the school holidays in Latvia 2024-2025 for all grades. The last school days for students in grades where exams are taken are also indicated. The information is based on the approved Cabinet of Ministers Resolution No. 698.
- Summer holidays 2024 for grades 1-8 and grades 10-11 – from Saturday, June 1 to Saturday, August 31, 2024.
- The last day of school for Grade 9 is Friday, June 14, 2024.
- The last day of school for grade 12 is Friday, June 21, 2024.
- First day of school is Monday, September 2, 2024.
- Autumn break – from Monday, October 21 to Sunday, October 27, 2024.
- Winter break – Monday, December 23, 2024 to Sunday, January 5, 2025.
- Spring Break is Monday, March 10 through Sunday, March 16, 2025.
- Summer holidays 2025 for grades 1-8 and grades 10-11 – from Saturday, May 31 to Sunday, August 31, 2025.
- The last day of school for 9th grade is Friday, June 13, 2025.
- The last day of school for grade 12 is Friday, June 20, 2025.
IMPORTANT! Each school must provide an additional week of rest for first-grade students. This must take place during the second term. The start and end dates are determined by the school.

- December 24, 2024 (Tuesday) – Christmas Eve.
- December 25, 2024 (Wednesday) – Christmas.
- December 26, 2024 (Thursday) – Second Day of Christmas.
- December 31, 2024 (Tuesday) – New Year’s Eve.
- January 1, 2025 (Wednesday) – New Year.
- April 18, 2025 (Friday) – Good Friday.
- April 20, 2025 (Sunday) – Easter.
- April 21, 2025 (Monday) – Easter Monday.
- May 1, 2025 (Thursday) – Labor Day.
- May 2, 2025 (Friday) — Transfer of the working day from May 2 to May 10.
- May 4, 2025 (Sunday) – Independence Day.
- May 5, 2025 (Monday) – Transfer of the day off from May 4.
- June 23, 2025 (Monday) – Ligo Day.
- June 24, 2025 (Tuesday) – John’s Day.
IMPORTANT! Check with your school to see if the school day from Friday, May 2nd is being moved to Saturday, May 10th. Also check if May 5th is a non-school day!
