Unlike many other countries, Liechtenstein’s school holiday schedule is the same for everyone. It does not depend on the type of school (private or public), class or year. There are 5 vacation periods during the academic year:
Autumn holidays (in October);
Christmas holidays (December-January);
Winter holidays (sports, February): in February;
Easter holidays (depending on the date of Easter);
Summer holidays (July-August).
School holidays in Liechtenstein 2023-2024
NOTE! The Liechtenstein Board of Education determines vacation dates so that they start on Monday and end on Friday. For example, we indicate that the autumn holidays last from the 9th to the 20th. This means that schoolchildren have a rest from the 7th to the 22nd inclusive. The only exception is the Easter holidays.

Summer holidays 2023: from July 10 to August 18.
Autumn holidays 2023: from 9 to 20 October;
Christmas holidays: from December 25, 2023 to January 5, 2024;
Winter holidays (February, sports) 2024: from 12 to 16 February;
Easter holidays (spring) 2024: from March 28 to April 12;
Summer holidays 2024: from July 8 to August 16.
Another weekend for schoolchildren in Liechtenstein
Pupils of schools in Liechtenstein live according to the same calendar as the rest of the people. Schools in the Principality are closed on public holidays. Some holidays fall on holidays and it makes no sense to take them into account. Others fall on weekdays. Then the students have a legal day off.

May 31, 2024 is an additional day off.
