Holidays in Kazakhstan 2024: non-working days and transfers
All 2024 holidays in Kazakhstan are divided into two types – public holidays and professional holidays. In turn, public holidays can be working days or days off from work. The list of public holidays with a regular day is regulated by Decree of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated October 31, 2017 No. 689. Below is a list of official non-working days :

It happens that a public holiday and the associated non-working day falls on a Saturday or Sunday. Then it shifts to the nearest next weekday. There are two such dates in 2024:
The third day of Nowruz falls on Saturday, March 23, 2024. Accordingly, Monday, March 25 becomes a non-working day.
Capital Day falls on Saturday, July 6, 2024. Therefore, for most residents of Kazakhstan, Monday, July 8 is a day free from work and school.
