School holidays in France 2024-2025 depend on which academic (school) zone the educational institution belongs to. There are three such zones in total: Zone A, Zone B and Zone C. The academic year schedule and the boundaries of academic zones are regulated by Arrêté du 7 December 2022 fixant le calendrier scolaire des années 2023-2024, 2024-2025 et 2025-2026. According to this order, the zones include the following territories:
Zone A: Besançon, Bordeaux, Clermont-Ferrand, Dijon, Grenoble, Limoges, Lyon and Poitiers.
Zone B: Aix-Marseille, Amiens, Lille, Nancy-Metz, Nantes, Nice, Normandy, Orléans-Tours, Reims, Rennes and Strasbourg.
Zone C: Créteil, Montpellier, Paris, Toulouse and Versailles.
