The territory of Spain is divided into 19 administrative-territorial units: 17 autonomous communities and two autonomous cities (Ceuta and Melilla). Each of them has its own list of public holidays. In 2025, their total number is 14 holidays. They include:
- There are eight national public holidays that are celebrated throughout the country.
- Four regional holidays (established by the autonomous community or autonomous city).
- Two local holidays (established by the city council).
