In this article we will talk about the following: school holidays in Bulgaria 2024-2025, days off from school. All-Holidays.Info will also list exam dates for students of grades 4, 7, 10 and 12. The start and end dates of school holidays are given separately for each age group of schoolchildren.
Below are the school holidays in Bulgaria 2024-2025. At the time of publication of this article, the Ministry of Education and Science had not published an official schedule for the school year. The preliminary dates were calculated based on an analysis of school holiday schedules in Bulgarian educational institutions for previous years.
Summer holidays 2024:
For students in grades 1-3 – from Thursday, May 30, 2024 to Sunday, September 15, 2024.
For students in grades 4-6 – from Saturday, June 15, 2024 to Monday, September 16, 2024.
For students in grades 7-11 – from Saturday, June 29, 2024 to Tuesday, September 17, 2024.
For students in Year 12 – from Saturday 25 May 2024 to Wednesday 18 September 2024.
Autumn holidays 2024 – from Thursday, October 31, 2024 to Sunday, November 3, 2024.
Christmas holidays 2024-2025 – from Saturday, December 21, 2024 to Sunday, January 5, 2025.
Midterm holidays 2025 – from Saturday 1 February 2025 to Sunday 2 February 2025.
Spring break 2025 for students in grades 1-11 – from Saturday, March 29, 2025 to Sunday, April 6, 2025.
Spring Break 2025 for Year 12 students is from Wednesday, April 2, 2025 to Sunday, April 6, 2025.
Summer holidays 2024:
For students in grades 1-3 – from Saturday, May 31, 2025.
For students in grades 4-6 – from Saturday, June 14, 2025.
For students in grades 7-11 – from Saturday, June 28, 2025.
For students in grade 12 – from Saturday, May 17, 2025.
Dates when schools are closed in 2024-2025
In addition to school holidays, there are nine public holidays in Bulgaria in 2024-2025 when schools are closed. The rules for transferring a non-working day from Sunday for schools work in the same way as for other institutions. National external assessment in Bulgarian language and literature, and mathematics for 7th grade students – June 23 and 25, 2025.
National external assessment in Bulgarian language and literature, and mathematics for 10th grade students – June 16 and 18, 2025.
